About this course:
This course has been developed to provide culturally practical tools and techniques to assist formal and informal Mentors. Are you working with Aboriginal employees? Or has your workplace introduced a Special Measures or an Aboriginal employment program?
This course will assist you to support Aboriginal employees to see possibilities, problem solve and retain employment. Mentoring in a cultural context is a vital skill to develop and the benefits to a Mentor-Mentee relationship can be rewarding for individuals and organisations.
This course is 5 days and includes; role-play assessments, research, questions and group work.
Once you have been assessed as competent, you will be issued with a
Statement of Attainment – Course in Indigenous Mentoring (10139NAT)

Conducting a mentoring project
The units of competency will be assessed during the course using a combination of role plays, documented activities, case studies and individual participation. For the project the participant will undertake mentoring project, produce third party and complete a self – evaluation.
